Safeguarding

Children's safety comes first. This is what we do, and who to tell if you are worried.
Our tutors
[confirm, and keep only if true: every tutor has a current enhanced DBS check, and two references, before teaching]
Tutors only see the students in their own classes.
How lessons are run
- Small groups: one tutor and up to three students.
- Lessons happen only on our lesson app. Tutors never ask for, or give, personal phone numbers or social media, and there is no private messaging.
- Each student writes on their own board. A student can never open another student's board, files or details.
- We do not record video. Boards are saved as lesson notes.
- [your rule when only one student turns up, e.g. a second adult or a parent present]
- [whether parents may join or watch a lesson, and how to ask]
What parents can do
Know when the lessons are and be nearby for younger children. Ask your child how the lesson went. Tell us at once about anything that does not feel right. You can read how we look after information in our privacy policy.
Telling us about a concern
Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is [name]. Contact them at [safeguarding email and phone].
We take every concern seriously. We write it down, act quickly, and where needed we tell the local authority's children's services, the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) or the police. We will not punish anyone for raising a concern in good faith.
If a child is in danger
- In an emergency, call 999.
- Adults worried about a child can call the NSPCC helpline on 0808 800 5000.
- Children and young people can call Childline for free on 0800 1111.
